‘आत्मनिर्भर’शब्दाचा अर्थ खऱ्या अर्थाने उमजावा : कॅनडास्थित भारतीयांचे मत

एखाद्या गावाचं नाव मोठं होतं ते त्या गावातल्या माणसांच्या कर्तृत्वावर! बेळगावातील अशा कर्तृत्ववान व्यक्तींनी देश विदेशात आपल्या बेळगावचा झेंडा रोवला. त्यांच्या कार्याची ‘बेळगाव लाईव्ह’ने घेतलेली दखल म्हणजेच ‘समुद्रापार बेळगाव’!

बेळगावच्या जनतेने सातासमुद्रापार आपल्या प्रगतीचे झेंडे रोवले आहेत. विविध क्षेत्रात उत्तम कामगिरी करून बेळगाववासीयांनी बेळगावच्या शिरपेचात मनाचा तुरा रोवला आहे. शैक्षणिक, क्रीडा, साहित्य, संस्कृती, वैद्यकीय, फॅशन यासह अनेक क्षेत्रात कामगिरी बजावून आपल्यासह बेळगावचे नावही उंचावले आहे. अशा हजारो जणांपैकी एक असलेले म्हणजेच व्यंकटसुब्बराव रामगोपालराव तुलसी सुत्रावे!

२०१४ सालापासून उत्तर अमेरिकेतील कॅनडा येथे वास्तव्यास असलेल्या सुत्रावे यांनी केएलएस संस्थेच्या वसंतराव पोतदार पॉलिटेक्निक येथे इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स आणि कम्युनिकेशन विभागात डिप्लोमा पूर्ण केला आहे तर याच विभागात बी.इ. पर्यंतचे शिक्षण विश्वेश्वरय्या तांत्रिक विद्यापीठात पूर्ण केले आहे. त्यानंतर कॉनकॉर्डिया युनिव्हर्सिटी (उत्तर अमेरिका) येथे इलेक्ट्रिकल आणि कॉम्प्युटर्स विभागात एमएस पूर्ण केले आहे.

सध्या ते एएसआयसी डिझाईन व्हेरिफिकेशन इंजिनीअर म्हणून कॅनडा येथे कार्यरत आहेत. पत्नी आणि दोन मुलांसमवेत कॅनडा स्थित सुत्रावे यांनी स्वतःची मालमत्ता बनवून भारतातून नोकरी-व्यवसाय- शिक्षणाच्या निमित्ताने जाणाऱ्या भारतीयांसाठीही भाडेतत्वावर तसेच खरेदी करण्यासाठी मालमत्ता उपलब्ध करून दिली आहे.

GALAXYB5 Inc चे संस्थापक आणि संचालक तसेच प्रीमियम रेझरचे निर्माते असलेले सुत्रावे कुटुंबीय कॅनडामध्ये “वि टर्न मॅन इनटू जेंटलमेन” या घोषवाक्याखाली आपले कार्य सुरु ठेवले आहे.

सध्या भारतीयांना प्रगती करण्यासाठी भारताच्या परिसीमा देखील कमी पडत आहेत. अनेक भारतीय आज परदेशात नोकरी, व्यवसाय आणि शिक्षणाच्या निमित्ताने जातात. परंतु परदेशात गेल्यानंतर तेथील राहणीमान, सरकारी, निवासी परवानगी मिळविणे अशा अनेक कसरतींतून त्यांना पार पडावे लागते.

मात्र सुत्रावे कुटुंबीय कॅनडा मध्ये येणाऱ्या भारतीयांसाठी या सर्व गोष्टी सहज आणि सोप्या करून देण्यासाठी सहकार्य करतात. आपला देश सोडून परदेशात स्थायिक होणे हा भाग खूप कठीण आणि आव्हानात्मक असतो. मात्र अशावेळी आपल्या जवळच कुणीतरी आपल्या पाठीशी आहे, हि भावना कुणासाठीही नक्कीच प्रेरणादायी ठरू शकते आणि नेमकं हेच काम सुत्रावे कुटुंबीय पार पाडतात. केवळ नव्या देशात गेल्यावर तेथे स्थायिक होण्यासाठीच नव्हे तर त्या भूमीत टिकून राहणे, समृद्ध प्रगती साधने अशा गोष्टींसाठीही ते मदत करतात.

गेल्या ११ वर्षांपासून कॅनडा येथे वास्तव्यास असणाऱ्या व्यंकटसुब्राव सुत्रावे यांनी ‘बेळगाव लाईव्ह’ शी बोलताना आपला अनुभव व्यक्त केला. कोणत्याही ठिकाणी आपल्याला यश मिळवायचे असेल तर प्रत्येकाशी नम्रपणे वागणे, योग्य शिक्षण घेणे, शिक्षण पूर्ण करून नोकरी शोधण्या ऐवजी ज्याठिकाणी आपल्याला नोकरी करायची आहे अशा विभागाचे शिक्षण पूर्ण करणे, परोपकारी वृत्ती जोपासून निस्वार्थीपणाने प्रत्येकाची मदत करणे हे गुण आपल्या अंगी बाळगणे महत्वाचे असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.

आपली मातृभूमी सोडून परदेशात स्थायिक झाल्यानंतर आपल्याला अनेक अनुभव मिळाले. आणि यानुसार भारतातील काही गोष्टींमध्येही असेच सकारात्मक बदल करणे आवश्यक असल्याचे ते म्हणाले. कॅनडासारख्या भागात राहताना आपल्या लक्षात एक गोष्ट आली, कि येथील लोक हे खऱ्या अर्थाने ‘आत्मनिर्भर’आहेत. येथील लोक स्वतः काम करतात, नोकरी करतात आणि स्वबळावर शिक्षण पूर्ण करतात. शिक्षण, नोकरी, व्यवसाय किंवा कोणत्याही गोष्टीसाठी येथील लोक जिद्द, चिकाटी, प्रामाणिकपणा आणि मेहनत करतात.

भारतातील बहुतांशी लोकांमध्ये आणि विशेषतः तरुणांमध्ये या गोष्टीचा अभाव दिसून येत असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. सध्या तरुणाईला सुपरफास्ट प्रगतीचे वेड लागले आहे. मात्र प्रगती साधण्यासाठी मेहनत आणि जिद्द याचा जोर लावणे महत्वाचे असल्याचेही त्यांनी सांगितले. केवळ आर्थिक प्रगतीच नाही तर वैचारिक प्रगती आणि पर्यायाने मानसिक प्रगतीही प्रत्येकाने साधणे आवश्यक आहे.

प्रगती साधायची असेल तर केवळ शिक्षणच महत्वाचे नाही तर अनुभव देखील खूप महत्वाचा आहे. भौतिक सुखाच्या मागे न धावता आपल्या ध्येयासाठी १०० टक्के कस लावून आपण आपला प्रवास सुरु केला कि नक्कीच आपल्या हातात यश येते, असे मत व्यंकटसुब्राव सुत्रावे यांनी व्यक्त केले.

Sutrave, who has been living in Canada since 2014, has completed his Diploma in Electronics and Communication Department from Vasantrao Potdar Polytechnic of KLS Institute and completed his BE from Visvesvaraya Technical University. After that he completed his MS in Electrical and Computer engineering from Concordia University (North America). Currently he is working in Canada as an ASIC Design Verification Engineer. Based in Canada with his wife and two children, Sutrave has acquired his own property and has also made properties available for hire, as well as purchase, for Indians traveling from India for work, business and education. The Sutrave family, founders and directors of GALAXYB5 Inc., and makers of premium razors, continue to operate in Canada under the slogan “We turn men into gentlemen”.

Today, the borders of India are also falling short & the progress of Indians is beyond boundaries. Many Indians go abroad for employment, business and education. Venkatasubrao Sutrave, who has been living in Canada for the past 11 years, said while speaking to ‘Belgaum Live’ “ That if we want to be successful in any place, it is important to treat everyone with humility, get proper education, complete the education in the field, where we want to work, instead of completing education and then looking for a job, to have a compassionate attitude and to help everyone selflessly”.

Staying away from our motherland and settling abroad, we get many experiences. And accordingly, he said, there is a need to make similar positive changes in India as well. One thing we noticed while living in a place like Canada is that the people here are truly ‘self-reliant’. People here work by themselves, get jobs and complete their education on their own. For education, job, business or anything, people here are determined, persistent, honest and hardworking. He said that most of the people in India, especially the youth, lack this. Currently, the youth is obsessed with superfast progress. But he also said that it is important to emphasize on hard work and determination to achieve progress. Not only economic progress, but also ideological progress and alternatively intellectual progress is also required by everyone. Not only education, but experience is also very important, if one has to progress. Venkatasubrao Sutrave expressed the opinion that if we start our journey with 100% effort towards our goal, without chasing material happiness, success will surely be in our hands.
