बेळगाव लाईव्ह विशेष : एखाद्या गावाचं नाव मोठं होतं ते त्या गावातल्या माणसांच्या कर्तृत्वावर! बेळगावातील अशा कर्तृत्ववान व्यक्तींनी देश विदेशात आपल्या बेळगावचा झेंडा रोवला. त्यांच्या कार्याची ‘बेळगाव लाईव्ह’ने घेतलेली दखल म्हणजेच ‘समुद्रापार बेळगाव’!
बेळगावच्या जनतेने सातासमुद्रापार आपल्या प्रगतीचे झेंडे रोवले आहेत. विविध क्षेत्रात उत्तम कामगिरी करून बेळगाववासीयांनी बेळगावच्या शिरपेचात मानाचा तुरा रोवला आहे. शैक्षणिक, क्रीडा, साहित्य, संस्कृती, वैद्यकीय, तंत्रज्ञान, फॅशन यासह अनेक क्षेत्रात कामगिरी बजावून आपल्यासह बेळगावचे नावही उंचावले आहे. अशा हजारो जणांपैकी एक असलेले म्हणजेच गजानन अर्जुन सामजी!
भरतेश इंग्लिश मिडीयम शाळेत शालेय शिक्षण, गोगटे महाविद्यालयात पदवी(बी कॉम), के एल इ अभियांत्रिकी(एम सी ए) आणि तंत्रज्ञान विभागात मास्टर डिग्रीचे शिक्षण पूर्ण केलेले गजानन सामजी हे हलगा येथील शेतकरी कुटुंबातील आहेत.
अर्जुन देवाप्पा सामजी आणि सुमन अर्जुन सामजी यांचे सुपुत्र गजानन सामजी यांनी २०१६ साली युनायटेड स्टेट्स ऑफ अमेरिका मधील मेसन ओहिओ येथील एमकेएस इंस्ट्रुमेंट्समध्ये प्रिन्सिपल वेब डेव्हलपर म्हणून कामाला सुरुवात केली. गेली ७ वर्षे ते याच कंपनीत कार्यरत असून हि कंपनी इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स आणि पॅकेजिंग तसेच विशेष औद्योगिक अनुप्रयोगांसाठी मूलभूत तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करून अग्रगण्य एज सेमीकंडक्टर उत्पादन घेते. जगातील अनेक आघाडीच्या तंत्रज्ञान आणि औद्योगिक कंपन्यांमध्ये या कंपनीचे नाव अग्रक्रमाने घेतले जाते. या कंपनीत गजानन हे पाय रोवून यशस्वी रित्या नोकरी सांभाळत आहेत.
तत्पूर्वी त्यांनी शिक्षण संपल्यावर पहिली नोकरी मुंबईत एकसेंचर या कंपनीत केली 2005 ते 2008 या काळात असताना त्यांनी 2006- 07 एक वर्ष लंडन मध्ये ब्रिटिश स्काय ब्रॉडकास्टिंग(British Sky Broadcasting) या कंपनीत सॉफ्टवेअर डेवलोपर म्हणून काम केलं होते.त्यानंतर बंगळुरु मध्ये सेफीयंट कंपनीत 2008-12 या काळात सेवा बजावली.
यासाठी देशात पहिला
2012 ते 2016आय बी एम बंगळुरु मध्ये सेवा बजावली त्या काळात आय बी एम कंपनीने ट्रेनिंग ई कॉमर्स डेवलोपर प्रशिक्षण दिले त्यात आय बी एम कंपनीतून देशात पहिला मान्यताप्राप्त कर्मचारी(first certified employee) होण्याचा मान मिळवला होता त्यामुळचे अमेरिकेला जायची संधी मिळाली आज ते पर्मनंट एम्प्लॉयी आहेत.
2016 साली कॉन्ट्रॅक्ट बेसिस वर नोकरीसाठी अमेरिकेला गेलेले गजानन यांनी दोन वर्षात चांगल काम करून दाखवलं त्यानंतर त्यांना कंपनीने त्यांना पर्मनंट करून घेतले त्यावर आगामी काळात त्यांना कर्तृत्वाच्या जोरावर ग्रीन कार्ड साठी कंपनीकडून प्रायोजकत्व मिळाले.
मायभूमी सोडून परदेशात नोकरीनिमित्ताने गेलेले गजानन सामजी हे बेळगावमधील एका सर्वसामान्य शेतकरी कुटुंबातील असून त्यांनी परदेशात जाऊन आपल्या कार्याने भारताचे नाव उंचावण्याचे काम केले आहे. त्यांच्या पुढील वाटचालीस ‘बेळगाव लाईव्ह’च्या खूप खूप शुभेच्छा!

The ever-enterprising NRI community from Belgaum, have made the city proud by their achievements & success in various fields such as Education, Sports, Literature, Culture, Medicine, Technology, Fashion, etc.. One amongst many such achievers & enterprising individuals from Belgaum is Mr. Gajanan Samji.
Gajanan Samji hails from a family of farmers, in Halga village, Belgaum. He completed his schooling from Bharatesh English Medium School, graduation from Gogte College, Master’s Degree from KLE college of Engineering and Technology. Gajanan Samji, is the son of shri Arjun Devappa Samji his father and smt. Suman Arjun Samji his mother.
He started working as a Principal Web Developer at MKS Instruments at Mason, Ohio, United States of America in 2016. Before that, after completing his studies, he took up his first job at Accenture in Mumbai from 2005 to 2008. Later on, he worked as a software developer at The British Sky Broadcasting in London for one year in 2006-07. After that, he worked at Sapient in Bangalore from 2008-12. Further he went on to work at IBM Bangalore and during his service at IBM Bangalore from 2012 to 2016, IBM provided him with training for e-commerce developers and he got the honour of being the first certified employee from IBM in the country, and got an opportunity to go to America. Gajanan, who went to America to work on contract basis in 2016, performed well in two years, after which the company offered him a permanent job, and later on, he got a sponsorship from the company for a green card based on his performance.
He has been working as a Principal Web Developer at MKS Instruments at Mason, Ohio, United States of America since 2016 and has been working with the same company for the last 7 years, which manufactures leading edge semiconductors using core technologies for electronics and packaging, as well as specialized industrial applications. The company is one amongst many of the world’s leading technology and industrial companies. Coming from a native marathi farmer family from Belgaum, Gajanan Samji, who left his motherland and went abroad for employment, is in a sense a great achievement and a matter of pride for his family & Belgaum.
